Wolf gas boiler repairs

The Wolf boiler most Belgian households own is the CGB-2, a wall-hung condensing gas boiler sold as heating-only or as a combi. It is robust and economical, yet many owners tell us they struggled to find an engineer willing to work on it. We are.

When a fault number appears on the control module, our engineer checks the function concerned: flame detection, ignition, gas valve, fan, flow and flue sensors, water pressure. He reads the error history as well, because a fault seen ten times in a month has a different cause than a one-off.

The common numbers are explained on our Wolf error codes page. After the diagnosis, you receive the repair price before any part goes in.

Older Wolf boilers, such as earlier CGB and TGB generations, are still found in some homes. We work on them too, after checking that the parts you need can still be sourced, and we tell you frankly if a new boiler would be the better investment.

Regular Wolf maintenance

A Wolf boiler needs what every condensing boiler needs: a clean heat exchanger, a clear siphon, sound electrodes and a correct combustion. Belgian rules make the service mandatory, at an interval set by your Region and fuel, which we confirm when you book.

The engineer takes out and cleans the burner and exchanger, replaces worn electrodes and seals, flushes the condensate trap, checks the expansion vessel and relief valve, measures CO and CO2 and adjusts the boiler accordingly.

You leave with a maintenance attestation, and with a heads-up on any part that looks tired, so the repair can be planned before winter. Many Wolf owners book their service in late summer, when slots are easy to find and the heating season has not started yet.

Wolf heat pumps and hybrid heating

Wolf also produces air-to-water heat pumps, for example the CHA monobloc range, frequently installed with a buffer or hot water tank. We service them, handle their alarms and repair faults such as poor defrosting, low flow or sensor errors.

If you plan to replace your boiler, we check whether a heat pump suits the house: insulation, radiators, outdoor space, noise for neighbours. In older houses, a hybrid combination of heat pump and gas boiler is often a sound compromise.

Each project begins with a visit and a free quote, for a Wolf unit or another brand, depending on what fits best.

Wolf systems in commercial and shared buildings

Small office buildings, shops and apartment blocks also use Wolf boilers and heat pumps, sometimes in cascade with a buffer tank and several pumps. Such installations call for an engineer who looks at the entire boiler room, not one appliance in isolation.

We maintain them on a schedule agreed with the owner or managing agent, check pumps and controls, and come quickly when something breaks down. A logbook of each visit helps managers follow costs and plan replacements in advance.

For renovations, our design office helps size the outputs and controls so the building is heated evenly, without waste.

Wolf faults we see most

A short summary from our call-outs. Never open a gas appliance yourself.

No ignition

Electrode, ignition unit, gas valve or blocked flue, tested one by one.

Flame lost during operation

Weak flame signal, often due to a dirty burner or a worn electrode.

Overheating

Not enough water flow: pump, air in the system or closed valves.

Heat pump alarm

Low flow, a sensor fault or the outdoor unit icing up.

How a Wolf repair works

1

Call or message us

Give the model (CGB-2, heat pump…) and the number on the display; a photo of the label helps.

2

We state the price

Call-out and first hour in advance; parts priced on site before fitting.

3

Repair and paperwork

The engineer repairs, explains and leaves the job sheet, invoice and, after a service, the attestation.

Frequently asked questions

Are Wolf parts available in Belgium?

Yes, for the CGB-2 and recent Wolf appliances, through Belgian wholesalers. For older models we check availability first.

My Wolf shows a fault number. Is it serious?

It depends on the number and how often it appears. Note it and call 0477 03 88 98; our Wolf error codes page explains the main ones.

Are you Wolf's service partner?

No. We are an independent company that repairs and maintains Wolf boilers and heat pumps.

Do you service Wolf heat pumps?

Yes: outdoor unit, water circuit, filters and controls.

How often does a Wolf gas boiler need servicing?

The rule depends on your Region; we give you the interval when you book.

Can you replace my Wolf with another make?

Yes. We recommend the appliance that suits your home and budget, with a free quote.

Do you handle offices and apartment buildings?

Yes, we maintain and repair Wolf boiler rooms in small commercial and residential buildings.

Why do some engineers refuse Wolf boilers?

Mostly because they rarely see the brand and lack the experience or the parts contacts. We work on Wolf appliances regularly and know where to source what they need.
