Plumber repairing a leak under a sink

Water leak in Brussels

A dripping joint, a stain on the ceiling, a meter that turns while every tap is closed: turn off the water at the meter or at your flat’s stopcock and call us. The plumber traces the leak while opening up as little as possible.

Many Brussels houses still have lead or galvanised steel pipes. We replace them with copper or multilayer pipe, starting with your drinking water.

After the repair you receive a job sheet describing the leak and its cause, useful for your insurer after water damage.

Technician checking an electric water heater

Water heaters and hot water

Brussels water is hard: electric water heaters scale up quickly, the safety valve starts dripping and the hot water runs out sooner.

The plumber checks the element, thermostat, anode and safety valve, descales or replaces the water heater and tells you which size suits your household.

We also install heat pump water heaters and water softeners.

Plumber fitting a wall-hung toilet

Toilets, taps and bathrooms

A cistern that keeps running, a dripping tap, a stuck shower mixer: repairs usually done in a single visit.

For a renovation we fit wall-hung toilets, walk-in showers, vanity units and taps, with a detailed quote.

In a flat we work with the existing waste pipes and the rules of the building.

Water softener connected to the mains supply

Townhouses, flats and villas

In townhouses split into flats (Saint-Gilles, Ixelles, Schaerbeek, Etterbeek) pipes sometimes run under old parquet or through the stairwell: we look first through existing access points.

In blocks of flats the risers are shared: a leak on the riser is for the building manager, a leak after your stopcock is yours.

In the villas of Uccle and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre we also trace underground leaks under the garden.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover all of Brussels?

Yes, all 19 municipalities, from the City of Brussels and Laeken to Uccle and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.

What should I do while waiting for the plumber?

Turn off the water at the meter or your flat’s stopcock, switch off the electricity if water is near a socket, and mop up.

Do you give the price in advance?

Yes. The call-out and the first hour are quoted on the phone; any part is priced before it is fitted.

Do you replace water heaters?

Yes, electric and heat pump models, including connection and removal of the old appliance.

Do you come in the evening and at weekends?

Yes, 7 days a week for breakdowns and leaks. Any surcharge is announced before we travel.

Do your technicians speak English?

Many of them do, and the office always does. Tell us when you book and we will send an English-speaking technician whenever possible.

Do I need a water softener in Brussels?

It is not compulsory, but Brussels water is hard: a softener protects the water heater, boiler and taps. One tap of untreated water is kept for drinking.
