Logano oil and gas boilers
In the cellars of Belgian houses, and above all in villages without mains gas, the Buderus Logano is a classic: a sturdy floor-standing boiler, usually on heating oil, often with its own hot water cylinder. More recent versions like the Logano plus GB125 are condensing boilers.
Each year, our engineer cleans the combustion chamber and flue passages, fits a new nozzle and filter, checks photocell and ignition, tests the oil pump pressure and measures the combustion to make sure the boiler burns cleanly and economically.
If a Logano will not start, look first at the burner and fuel supply: a clogged filter, air in the oil line, a worn nozzle or an ignition transformer at the end of its life. We find it, price it and often fix it on the same visit.
Logamax wall-hung gas boilers
In flats and newer houses, Buderus mostly means the Logamax plus condensing gas boilers, for instance the GB172 and the newer GB192i. Compact and efficient, they still dislike a blocked siphon and a heat exchanger that has not been cleaned for years.
Their display shows a two-character code (6A, EA, 4C, 3C and others), sometimes with a three-digit service code. The engineer uses both to direct his tests: flame detection, fan, sensors, gas valve and finally the board. The list of meanings is on our Buderus error codes page.
Servicing follows the same logic: clean, inspect, measure, adjust. You receive a maintenance attestation and, where relevant, advice about parts that will soon need replacing.
Heating circuits, mixing valves and underfloor heating
Many Buderus boilers feed more than one circuit: radiators upstairs, underfloor heating downstairs, plus a hot water cylinder. Each circuit has its own pump and often a mixing valve, run by the boiler controller or a separate module.
When one floor stays cold while the other is fine, the boiler is rarely the culprit. A seized mixing valve motor, a circulator that has given up, a wrong heating curve or air trapped in the floor loops are far more common. Our engineer checks the whole chain before touching the boiler.
We can also flush and rebalance the circuits, replace pumps and valves, and adjust the controls so that each zone gets the right temperature without waste. Every intervention is priced first.
Time for a new Buderus, a gas boiler or a heat pump?
After twenty-five years of service, an oil Logano has earned its retirement. The replacement raises real questions: stay on oil with a condensing boiler, change to gas if your street is connected, or go for an air-to-water heat pump such as a Buderus Logatherm or another make.
We come to see the house, its insulation, radiators, chimney and oil tank, and then send a free, detailed quote comparing the options. When you leave oil behind, we also deal with taking the tank out of service properly.

Do you service Buderus oil boilers?
Yes, gas and oil alike. On an oil Logano, the service includes the burner (nozzle, filter, electrodes, combustion test) and cleaning of the boiler body.
What does EA mean on a Buderus?
On several Logamax models, EA means no flame was detected at start-up: gas supply, electrode or condensate drain. Call 0477 03 88 98 for a diagnosis.
Is Buderus the same as Bosch?
Both are in the Bosch group and share some technology, but boilers and parts differ. We repair both brands.
Do you work for Buderus itself?
No. We are an independent company repairing and servicing Buderus boilers with suitable parts from Belgian wholesalers.
Should I keep heating with oil?
