The survey before the installation

A boiler that is too powerful keeps switching on and off, wears out quickly and uses more; one that is too weak cannot keep the house warm in a hard frost. Before any quote, the engineer therefore visits to calculate the needs room by room.

He takes into account the floor area, the insulation of walls, roof and windows, the orientation and how much hot water you use. He also looks at the gas supply, the space available, the flue and condensate routes and the fuse board.

You then receive a detailed quote: the boiler proposed, the radiators or underfloor heating, the controls, the pipework and the commissioning. If another solution suits better, such as a heat pump, he presents that too.

Fitting the boiler and commissioning

Most of our new installations are wall-hung gas condensing boilers: compact, quiet, heating the hot water directly or through a cylinder. Where there is no mains gas, we install propane or pellet boilers, or a heat pump.

The engineer mounts the boiler and connects the gas, the water, the heating circuit, the condensate drain and the flue, then the controls. Every gas connection is tested for tightness before the first start.

Commissioning includes filling and bleeding the circuit, setting the output, the combustion analysis and setting the heating curve. The engineer then explains how the boiler and the thermostat work.

Radiators and pipework

Each radiator is chosen for the room it heats: its size depends on the needs calculated in the survey and on the planned water temperature. A condensing boiler works better with slightly larger radiators fed with cooler water.

Pipes are laid in multilayer, copper or steel depending on the job, visible or concealed. The engineer plans a manifold or a loop, isolating valves and bleed points so that the installation is easy to maintain later.

Every radiator gets a thermostatic valve and a lockshield. At the end, the circuit is pressure-tested for leaks and then balanced so that every room heats evenly.

Underfloor heating

In a new build or a major renovation, underfloor heating gives a gentle, invisible warmth. It runs on low-temperature water, which suits a condensing boiler or a heat pump perfectly.

The pipes are laid on insulation following a layout that reflects the heat loss of each room, then connected to a manifold with one loop per room. The engineer carries out a pressure test before the screed is poured.

Once the screed has dried, the floor is brought up to temperature gradually. Each room can then be set separately with room thermostats driving the manifold valves.

Which boiler for your home?

A combination boiler heats hot water on demand: ideal for a flat or a small house with one bathroom.

A boiler with a cylinder suits a family or several bathrooms: hot water is stored and available at several taps at once. For homes without mains gas, propane needs a tank and pellets a storage room.

For a well-insulated house a heat pump may suit, alone or as a hybrid with a boiler. The survey tells you whether it works in your case, and the quote puts the options side by side.

After the installation

You receive the documents of the installation, an explanation of how to use it and the details needed for future servicing. A new gas installation, or a major change to one, must be inspected before the meter is opened: we explain the steps for your situation.

We can then take care of the yearly service with attestation and of repairs, for the installation we fitted and for other appliances in the house.

For regional grants, we tell you at the quote stage which conditions currently apply. They change regularly, so we check them each time.

How a visit works

1

You call or book

Describe the problem; a photo of the unit or of the code on the display, sent on WhatsApp, helps the technician prepare.

2

Call-out cost first

The office tells you what the visit costs and when the technician will come, before anyone sets off.

3

Your agreement first

On site, the technician explains what he found and what the repair costs, then waits for your yes. Job sheet and invoice at the end.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a boiler installation take?

For a boiler alone on an existing system, one to two days. For a complete installation with radiators or underfloor heating, the duration is set out in the quote.

Does the gas installation need an inspection?

A new gas installation or a major change must be inspected before the meter is opened. We explain what applies to you.

Which makes do you install?

Major makes such as Vaillant, Bulex, Viessmann, Buderus, Remeha or Intergas, and we advise the model that fits your home and budget.

Is the quote free?

Ask for a quote with the form or call 0477 03 88 98: we explain the conditions of the visit when booking it.

Can a heat pump replace a boiler in a new build?

Yes, it is even the most common choice in a well-insulated new build. The survey tells you whether it suits.

Do you service the installation afterwards?

Yes: the yearly service with attestation and repairs to the installation we fitted.

How do I book?

Call 0477 03 88 98, send us a WhatsApp message or book online with the « Book an appointment » button. Tell us the municipality and, in a few words, what is going on.
