In short: a well-serviced heat pump heats for longer on less electricity. We service air-to-water, air-to-air and hybrid heat pumps of all makes in the 19 municipalities of Brussels, from single houses to apartment buildings. Call 0477 03 88 98.
A heat pump burns nothing, so it escapes the periodic check imposed on boilers, but it still needs looking after. A clean coil, a correct flow and well-tuned settings make a visible difference on the electricity bill. The price is given before the visit.

On a flat roof, in a courtyard or at the end of a garden in Forest or Uccle, the outdoor unit collects leaves, pollen, soot and pigeon feathers. A dirty coil draws less heat from the air and the machine strains without showing anything on the screen.
The technician cleans the coil, checks the fan, the fixings and the anti-vibration mounts, and makes sure the defrost water drains away and the tray heater works. He also looks for oil traces at the joints, a sign of a refrigerant leak.
On a monobloc unit the refrigerant stays outside; on a split system it travels to the indoor unit. In both cases the refrigerant circuit is only opened if a fault is found.

In a renovated house connected to old cast iron radiators, sludge ends up in the strainer. The flow drops and the machine goes into fault when it freezes. Cleaning it takes a few minutes and avoids an emergency call on a Sunday in January.
The technician also checks the pressure, bleeds the air, checks the expansion vessel, the relief valve and the hot water tank. He then reads the history: compressor hours, back-up heater hours and number of starts.
A heating curve set too high or a back-up heater that starts too early often explains a disappointing bill. A finer setting brings it down without losing comfort.

More and more Brussels buildings replace or support their shared boiler with heat pumps in cascade, with buffer tanks and a gas boiler as back-up. These plant rooms need regular follow-up.
We check each machine, the circulating pumps, the valves, the sensors, the tanks and the controls that decide when the heat pump or the boiler works. A poor switch-over can make the boiler run far more than planned.
We work with the syndic or the managing agent: visit schedule, written report and a single contact for the heating, plumbing and electrics of the building.

In flats across the Region, the air-to-air heat pump, or reversible air conditioning, is often the main heating. It draws in room air all the time, so the filters, coil and fan wheel get dirty quickly.
The service covers washing the filters, cleaning and disinfecting the coil and fan wheel, checking the drain and cleaning the outdoor unit.
For a unit used mainly as back-up, a visit every one or two years is enough depending on use. For a main heating system we advise once a year.

There is no compulsory check as for boilers, because a heat pump burns nothing. Servicing is still essential to the efficiency, and the manufacturers ask for it: Daikin, Vaillant, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, LG, Viessmann and Atlantic all do. Keep your job sheets.
The best moment is late summer, before the heating season, so you start the winter with a clean, well-tuned machine.
Between two visits, keep the outdoor unit clear: no cover, no plants, no snow in front of the grille.

Book online or by phone, giving the make, the model and how to reach the outdoor unit.
The technician services the outdoor unit, the water circuit and the tank, checks the settings and reads the operating history.
You receive a short report of what was done and what to watch, with the job sheet and the invoice.

We service heat pumps in houses, flats and buildings in all 19 municipalities of the Brussels Region.
Every year for an air-to-water unit that heats the whole house, preferably in late summer. For an air-to-air unit used as back-up, every one or two years depending on use.
The periodic check applies to boilers, not heat pumps. Manufacturers still ask for regular servicing, and leak checks depend on the amount of refrigerant.
About one to two hours for an air-to-water heat pump, depending on access to the outdoor unit and the state of the strainer.
Often, yes: a clean coil, a correct flow and a well-set heating curve reduce the use of the electric back-up.
Yes, all the usual makes, with the same care as our own installations.
