Remeha boiler repair

Remeha, a Dutch manufacturer, is very present in Belgium with its wall-hung condensing boilers: the Calenta and Tzerra for houses, the Avanta for flats, and the older Quinta for larger buildings. The latest generation, marked "Ace", uses a code made of a letter and four digits.

The H codes stop the boiler for as long as a condition is not met: too large a temperature difference, a flow temperature rising too fast, a configuration that is missing. The E codes are lockouts, such as E04.10, the failed burner start, which our engineers see more than any other.

Older Remeha models display different, shorter codes. Whatever the generation, the technician reads the fault history, measures the suspect parts and gives you the price before the repair.

Combustion analysis during a boiler service

Remeha service and combustion analysis

A Remeha condensing boiler needs a clean heat exchanger, a free-flowing siphon and well-adjusted combustion. When one of these drifts, E04.10 or H01 codes start to appear, especially during the first cold weeks.

The yearly service covers all three, along with a check of the safety devices. You receive the service attestation at the end of the visit.

Common Remeha error codes

Codes from the recent "Ace" range of Remeha. Type yours in the search box; if it is missing, call us and give it to the engineer.

CodeMeaningWhat the technician checks
H02.00Restart procedure in progressInformation: the boiler resumes on its own.
H02.02Waiting for the configuration numberConfiguration numbers CN1 / CN2, often after a board replacement.
H02.03Configuration errorConfiguration numbers and control board.

H01.05Maximum difference between flow and return temperature exceededWater circulation, pump, flow and return sensors.
H01.08Heating flow temperature rising too fastCirculation, pump, air in the circuit.
H01.14Maximum flow temperature exceededCirculation, pump, flow sensor.
E04.08Safety input openSafety devices connected to that input.
E04.10Burner failed to start after five ignition attemptsGas supply, ignition electrode, gas valve, flue, condensate drain.
E04.12False flame signalIonisation electrode, wiring, gas valve.
E04.13Fan blade stalledFan and its wiring.
E04.17Gas valve driver faultGas valve and control board.

Code not in this table: call us, our technician knows it.

Smell of gas? Do not touch any switch, open the windows, leave the house and call 112 from outside. For any other code, write it down and call us: the technician knows what to look at and brings the right parts.

Reading a Remeha code

A: warning

The boiler keeps running but reports something to look at during the next visit.

H: blocking

The boiler waits until the condition is normal again. If it lasts or returns often, a diagnosis is needed.

E: lockout

The boiler stays stopped. The cause has to be found and repaired by a technician.

Our way of working

1

Your call

Give us the model and the code. We tell you when an engineer can come.

2

The diagnosis

Fault history, gas pressure, ionisation, temperatures: the cause is measured, not guessed.

3

The repair

Price announced first, repair, combustion test, job report and invoice.

Frequently asked questions

What does E04.10 mean on a Remeha boiler?

The burner could not be started after five ignition attempts and the boiler has locked out. The gas supply, the ignition electrode, the gas valve, the flue and the condensate drain are inspected.

What does H02.02 mean?

The boiler is waiting for its configuration number. This usually appears after a circuit board has been replaced and must be set by the technician.

What is the difference between H and E codes?

H codes are temporary blockings that disappear when conditions return to normal. E codes are lockouts that keep the boiler stopped.

My old Remeha shows a different code: is it on this page?

Older models use other codes. Note what the display shows and call us: our engineers know the earlier generations too.

Should I restart the boiler myself?

Write the code down and call us instead. A boiler that locks out again and again has a fault that restarting will not solve.

Do you service Remeha boilers?

Yes, all Remeha gas boilers, with a combustion analysis and the service attestation.

Your Remeha shows a code?
